Dr. Swarup Ranjan Mishra is a leading obstetrician-gynaecologist, academic, healthcare entrepreneur, and former Member of Parliament in Kenya. Born in Odisha, India, he pursued his MBBS and postgraduation in India before moving to Kenya in 1997, where he helped shape medical education and practice.
He established the Mediheal Group of Hospitals in Kenya and Rwanda—introducing super-specialities like IVF, neurology, and cardiac care to the region.
Dr. Mishra also held academic leadership positions at Moi University and contributed to national health policy as Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Health Committee. He currently serves as Chairman of the Kenya Biovax Institute, spearheading vaccine and therapeutic manufacturing in Africa.
His service bridges continents, combining clinical expertise, educational innovation, and public leadership. Dr. Mishra is a changemaker dedicated to improving health outcomes and medical infrastructure across East Africa.
